Minooka Hockey Tryout Camp
This year's tryout camp will span across 5 on-ice sessions. It will include all elements of a conditioning camp combined with skill drills including skating, stickhandling, passing, shooting, and battling along with drills that incorporate our team concepts. There will be scrimmage sessions sprinkled throughout camp in various formats including 5v5 and special teams.
Players will be constantly evaluated and coached by the staff throughout the 5 days, both on and off ice, with the culmination of final Varsity and JV team selections on the last day of camp. Results will be posted within 24 hours of camp conclusion.
Important Information
In order to register for the tryout camp, please get your USA Hockey Registration completed. You need your USA Hockey Number for the 2025/2026 season in order to register for tryouts. The link for the USA Hockey Registration is below:
USA Hockey Member Registration
In order to be rostered after tryouts, any player with a 2008 or older birth year is required to complete an online SafeSport Training course. USA Hockey will not allow any player to be rostered on a Fall team until they complete the training course.

All High School players attending Minooka Community High School or being home schooled in the District.

8/5 at 5:10pm-6:10pm
8/7 at 5:10pm-6:10pm
8/9 at 10am-11am
8/10 at 10am-11am
8/12 at 5:10pm-6:10pm
Where
All Tryout Camp Skates will be held at Canlan Ice in Romeoville.
Jerseys
If you played in the Spring, please wear your Spring Jersey. If you didn't play in the Spring, please have a light and dark colored jersey.
Costs
The cost will be $250 and if you make a team, $100 of that will be credited to your fall/winter fees.
If you register for the tryout camp by July 23rd, you will get an additional $50 credited to your fall/winter fees. So, $150 total would be credited to your fall/winter fees.
ANTICIPATED FALL FEES
We expect fall fees will not exceed $4,950 per skater and $2,500 per goalie, which will include:
- About 40 + games
- 1 or 2 tournaments
- 2 practices a week
- 1 day each week of either Skills or Off Ice Training.
- 2 jerseys
- 2 pairs of socks
- Shell Pant
- A practice jersey (if not already received)
