Spring 2026 Tryouts

Eligibility for Registration:

All current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who attend Minooka Community High School, or plan to attend next fall, are eligible to participate. In addition, current 8th graders who will be attending Minooka Community High School in the fall are also welcome to register.

Please have your current USA Hockey number ready when completing registration.

Tryout Dates

All tryouts will be held at Canlan Sports, located at 1581 W. Normantown Rd., Romeoville, IL.

Tryout times for all three dates are 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM:

March 17
March 19
March 24

All players trying out for the Spring season are being asked to attend the first 2 tryouts on Tuesday, March 17th and Thursday March 19th. After these 2 sessions, certain players will be invited to the last tryout date on Tuesday March 24th. If you can't make the first two tryout dates, please email Dan Manno at minookahockeypresident@gmail.com.

Final rosters for Junior Varsity and Varsity will be announced on Wednesday, March 25th, by 7:00 PM on the club's website. Players will be posted on the website using USA Hockey numbers.

Spring League

The JV and Varsity teams will compete in the Neuqua Valley Spring League. The season runs from April 6 through the end of May, with each team guaranteed a minimum of 8 games.

Fees

Tryout fee for all players will be $130.

Skater - $660

Goalie - $330

Practices

Teams will practice twice a week for the first two weeks, then once a week for the remainder of the season. Practices will be held at either Canlan Sports or Inwood Ice Arena.

Games

Teams will generally play on weekends, but there may be a few games scheduled during the week. Most games will take place at Canlan or All Seasons, though other rinks may be used if necessary.

Jerseys

Each player will receive a spring jersey and game socks.
